V4 Training for Research Project Managers

From March 29 to 31, 2023, the thirteenth edition of training for project managers in the field of research organized by liaison offices for research and innovation from the countries of the Vyšehrad Four (V4) took place in Brussels.
The training was attended by 35 project managers working at universities and research institutions in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, France, Croatia, Lithuania, Portugal, and Slovenia.
The participants completed an intensive three-day program, which included presentations by speakers from the Directorates-General and executive agencies of the European Commission, as well as other experts with practical experience. As part of interactive activities, they also had the opportunity to train the necessary practical skills and build a network of professional contacts. All this focuses on the current EU framework program for research and innovation, Horizon Europe (2021-2027).
For the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics SAS,  the institute's director, Ing., took part in the training. Martin Nosko, PhD., evaluated the training with the words:
"The content is excellent and balanced, mainly from the point of view of creating policies and the possible introduction of a project system within the organization and finding out how project departments in other organizations are designed. However, for the future, it will be crucial to set up a project mechanism at our institution as well, so that the relevance of submitted projects in relation to the solution of current social problems is taken into account, not only at the national level, but mainly at the international level. Another important aspect is the implementation and analysis of benefits and impacts on society on an international scale."
