Last week we had the honor and pleasure of participating again in the Science Fair in Prague at the exhibition center in Letňany. It was an incredibly inspiring experience as many talented researchers, scientific teams, and innovative companies gathered at the fair to present their research and scientific projects to the public.
Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics presented Candy Pow (d)er Manufacture to the visitors at the fair, a sugar manufactory, with which he playfully demonstrated the powder metallurgy process. The atmosphere was "sweet," full of curiosity and enthusiasm, as the fair was visited by a vast number of children and students who at first approached our sweet factory in disbelief, then, after a little effort and pressing the first sweet products, they left excited and saying "wow, kind of magic. " It was wonderful to see the interest and admiration in the eyes of visitors who stopped by our manufactory and the joy of answering their curious questions.
We feel motivated and encouraged by the overwhelming interest in our science booth, and we are delighted to see young people's passion for science and research.
This event is vital not only for supporting science, research, innovations, and their popularization but for maintaining and expanding cooperation with the Czech Academy of Sciences.
