Residual heat – a neglected energy treasure

At the end of 2023, we had the unique opportunity to listen to an interesting lecture by our colleague and member of the SAV Board, Dr. František Simančík on the possibilities of using residual heat. The lecture was held in the Košice Scientific Cafe and was a continuation of the lecture from 2019.

dr. In the lecture, Simančík also showed the possibilities of using the heat produced in factories and power plants, and even in the internal combustion engines of cars, so that we do not release it into the environment (and contribute to warming), but use it where it is needed (e.g. . heating of apartments) and thus prevented the unnecessary production of more and more heat. He also supported his claims and proposals with data from his projects. His suggestions are worth considering.
