On 04/04/2023, students in the second year of bachelor's studies at the Technical University in Košice had the opportunity to meet our experts and learn more about the scientific methods and techniques used at our workplace and thus gain better knowledge about scientific research in Slovakia.
During visits, whether by students or industrial partners, we often encounter positive reactions to our address or our professional and technical capabilities in solving many seemingly unsolvable problems for our partners, with which we subsequently help them. That's why we perceive every student visit as necessary, as it is an opportunity to present our equipment, activities, and projects while getting to know young people. Many students already have experience during their studies with how difficult it is sometimes to get to the specialized laboratory equipment they need for the purposes of school experiments and analyses or during the preparation of final papers. Thanks to the excursion, they could try different jobs in the laboratories and find out which areas could be interesting for them in the future.
We believe that a real demonstration of a scientific workplace and live science can be inspiring, or even crucial, in deciding on a future career in science and technology and will help encourage students' interest in science studies.
