4th SNMT strategic seminar

16.05. the 4th strategic seminar of the Society for New Materials and Technologies to support cooperation between the academy, universities, and industry took place on the premises of the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics of SAV in Bratislava. The main goal of this year's seminar was to offer the latest information about the Recovery Plan and the challenges coming up in 2023 and create space for discussion, the possibility of establishing contacts, and cooperation.
As part of the rich program, in addition to Zuzana Hrabovská and Iva Kleinová from the Research and Innovation Authority VAIA, who informed the participants about the Recovery Plan and current calls, Anna Čaplovičová from INOVATO Cluster, Tomáš Vavro from RTC – Engineering, representatives from the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics Naďa Beronská presented what successful cooperation between academia and industry looks like in practice, and Karol Iždinský, who opened the afternoon part of the seminar by presenting the project FIT-4-NMP, Horizon 2020. Jana Šugárová from the Faculty of Materials Technology presented the VEGA project dealing with a tailor-made study program for the needs of companies in Slovakia. In an online form, Monika Bideau Repčíková presented to the participants the activities and services of the Liaison Office of the Slovak Republic for Research and Development in Brussels, and the final part of the program was technology transfer, in which Lenka Bednárová from the Center for Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic and Anton Bittner from the SAS Technology Transfer Office clarified the functioning of protection and evaluation of research results.
The seminar was devoted to current topics, as evidenced by the discussion, in which the participants could exchange practical experience, give valuable advice or create new contacts for future cooperation.
