The aim of the project COST-538 is to characterize and quantify microstructural changes in single crystalline superalloy CMSX-4 during ageing and creep and obtain experimental data about microstructure evolution and degradation. Such experimental data will be used in development and verification of new numerical life prediction models for turbine blades.
