Mechanical and microstructural properties of an advanced intermetallic alloy based on TiAl, which is designed for the production of components for the automotive and aerospace industries, were characterized. Technological recommendations were developed for an industrial partner for the production of precision castings from this alloy.
The design of the device for pressure infiltration of graphite with copper was optimized, which made it possible to control the process of pressure infiltration and thus also to maximize the amount of infiltrated metal in the porous graphite samples. The required series of infiltrated graphite semi-finished products was produced for the industrial partner for testing the mechanical and electrical properties of carbon sliders and electrographites as well as for their semi-operational production.
