The project was directed to support regional and government authorities in industry centre regions by know-how, methods and financial instruments necessary to create research-driven clusters. The methodology for creation clusters of R&D institutions, universities, R&D companies, SMEs, large companies and financial institutions in EU convergence regions was developed by project activities. The ground for the implementation of project results in West Slovakia region has been prepared. The R&D institutions focused their R&D capacities to supporting of selected industrial sectors. As a result, their innovation potential and, subsequently, their competitiveness have been increased.
