The project was focused on the research of new materials that would be suitable as tool materials in the field of technologies that use ultrasound energy. The most important result is the possibility of using tool steels as sonotrode tool materials and determination of the model of sonotrode tool material. It was found that the most important parameter is the uniformity of the structure of the tool steel. From this perspective, the best sonotrode tool steel is the steel prepared by powder metallurgy method.
