The experimental materials from micro and nano particles were prepared by powder metallurgy methods, especially by electrophoretic deposition. In terms of preparation of the experimental material the problem of addition of micro and nano graphite and SiC phase into the Cu and Ni matrix and its gradient distribution in the matrix of gradient materials and coatings was solved. The choice of experimental material has been focused on materials and coatings with special physical properties such as high electrical and thermal conductivity, wear resistance, refractoriness and heat resistance. Structural analysis of the experimental materials was carried out and on its basis the study and modelling of synergy effect of the structure (quality and quantity of present phases, their shape and mutual arrangement) on the observed properties of the gradient materials and coatings were performed.
