On 24.09. and on September 25, 2024, we had the privilege of hosting esteemed Spanish and Croatian experts in material research at our institute. Our guests included partners from the National Center for Metallurgical Research - Spanish National Research Council in Madrid (CENIM-CSIC) and the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. This visit is a testament to the successful cooperation within the bilateral project CSIC-SAS-2023 of the Division of Microstructure of Surfaces and Interfaces of the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics SAV, v.v.i.
 
The meeting provided our experts with a unique opportunity to discuss the latest trends in materials research and look for new opportunities for cooperation.
 
During the visit, two engaging lectures were given:
 
Dr. Mária Angeles Arenas Vavas from CENIM-CSIC provided us with detailed information about the center's current research activities in materials science and technology.
Dr. Ana Pilipovič from the University of Zagreb presented the Department of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture research focus.
 
Our guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves personally with the equipment of our laboratories and with current research projects. This visit has laid a solid foundation for future joint projects, and we are excited about the potential for this international cooperation to give new impulses to our research.
