NATURE RULES – The Fusion of Art and Science

Imagine natural patterns and mathematical algorithms brought to life in ceramics. Hard to picture, isn't it?

This fascinating concept was introduced to us through the art-research project Nature Rules by artist Csilla Nagy, created in collaboration with the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) and scientist Štefan Nagy.

The result is a collection of unique relief ceramic objects where the past meets the present — combining the ancient cord technique with cutting-edge, hi-tech 3D printing of paper clay.

You can learn more about this captivating project in an article by A. Nozdrovická, who interviewed the artist to uncover the story behind it.
