AWARDS TO THE BEST YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND PhD STUDENTS

Every year, the SAS organizes a competition of yourng researcher up tp 35 years of age, and this year for the first time in the category of PhD students.

On May 13, 2021, the Presidency of the SAS approved the competition results and awards in both categories. 

The winners of the category of young scientists up to 35 years of age received the distinction from the President of the SAS, Prof. Pavol Šajgalík, on June 17, 2021, in the House of Arts in Košice.

Our colleague, Ing. Kateryna Kamyshnykova, PhD. belongs to the winners for the 1. Department of Science.

This year, 23 talented PhD students entered the PhD students competition. The competition confirmed the high level of entries.

The competition winners presented their work on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at a scientific seminar in the Hall of the SAS at Patrónka in Bratislava. In the end, Dr. Martin Venhart, vice-chairman of the SAS for the 1. Department of Sciences, as a deputy statutory of the SAS and the guarantor of the competition and a member of the SAS Presidium for the 2. Department of Sciences, Prof. Ľubica Lacinová gave the diplomas to the winners.

Among the awarded PhD students was a colleague Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Ibrahim, MSc., who paticipated in the seminar with the contribution: Ti-Mg composite for dental implants.
